Grahame Prestage –
Had this raeceiver for a few weeks now and have it hooked up to Tecsuns loop antenna up about 5 meters and it really performs very well. I have spent some time around the SSB and listened to USA based ham operators chatting to W.A.
The broadcast bands are handled really well and I have been amazed at what I have been able to log from around the world especially this region, southern europe and the USA.
Having two speakers for music playback and FM radio is fantastic a reall bonus.
My only little gripe is the response of the tuning encoder when scrolling through memories.
It has to be flicked quite fast and to me thats not a good way to treat a rotery encoder. I have discovered however that you can use the forward and backward buttonds of the media player to do that instead.
All in all as a real amature and after a break of 40 years, a newbie, its a great raeceiver and I cant recomend it enough.
